Dodgers Helmet.Bat.Gloves.

Opening Day is Monday!!

The Los Angeles Dodgers had one of the best seasons they’ve had in a while. Every Dodger contributed something and there wasn’t really somebody who stood out a lot. Maybe the player that stood out the most was Andre Ethier and that was because of his 6 walk-off hits. He and Matt Kemp had a break-out year and James Loney improved his walks to strikeout ratio. Orlando Hudson had an amazing first half and even though he stumbled towards the end of the season, the Dodgers wouldn’t have been atop the NL West without him. You could say the same thing for Juan Pierre. He was very consistent all season. Whether he was coming off the bench or starting in the out field. Clayton Kershaw had an awesome first full year in the majors and he’s still only 22. I enjoyed this season so much I’m want to relive it. You can ignore this I just want to remember this for a long time.

2009 Dodgers in numbers

I've been wanting to do sort of a recap of the Dodgers season because it was so freaking awesome and I want to remember it for a long time. There's going to be two parts. This is just a brief recap. It has a lot of the Dodgers numbers and achievements hence the title. AND PICTURES!

The magical Brett Favre

That's right Brett Favre is magic. Two years ago in 2007 Brett Favre retired after 17 seasons in the NFL. After training camp he decided to come back but the Packers didn't want him to play for them anymore. They wanted his backup and first round pick of 2005 Aaron Rodgers, to take over. He asked for a trade and the Green Bay Packers offered him money to stay retired. After he refused they decided to trade him to a team that won only 4 games the year before, the New York Jets. Favre agreed and in 2008 he led the team to a 9-7 record.

We Believed!

Dodgers clinched the National League West!

My brothers were at the game and they took pictures! Not very good ones, but they tried. I asked my brother to take pictures of Kemp, Loney, Blake, and Pierre. They only took one of Loney and Kemp. The Kemp one was of his back and it was blurry. They were sitting in the left field level seats and Kemp was playing right field. I also asked my younger brother to take a picture or video of the celebratory high-five Loney and Blake do after every win. Why? Because I love it :D But they didn't :(
